How to get out of a “head funk”

Recently I have been getting a little frustrated with myself. I’ve been working on creating an e-course, but when I get to doing it, I seem not to get idea or inspiration to move forward.
I was starting to get down and was losing hope, faith in my ability and trust that I can do it.

So this morning I decided today going to be different. So instead of me heading to my laptop and not getting anywhere I decided to read a book that I had read a quarter or it. I read this inspiring story book, and I got to the end of it. Usually, I stop and start but this time, I said: “No get to the end.” Because I enjoyed it and loved the content of the book I continued. There were moments when I thought I could stop, but I persisted. This book was needed to be read, and it was important to get to the end.

Why? Because I sometimes stop before, I get started. I lose momentum, get sidetracked and lose focus. By reading it was teaching me to go on and push past these feelings. So glad I did as I had new energy and excitement in me.

I could have put the book down and thought that’s it, great advice and not apply any action to my life. However, there were voices within saying to me go out, have lunch and go to the beach. I resisted for a bit, made excuses but I thought I’m tired feeling stuck and frustrated with my e-course (as today was to knuckle down with putting ideas into action). So I did I went out and had lunch by myself. Not done it for a while. What I realised was I hadn’t gone out by myself for some time. It was needed. I somehow got co-dependent on only going out with my partner, Ryan. Nothing major happened for this to happen just we have been travelling together, go food shopping together, go out for lunch together and go for trips and walks together.

Somehow I lost myself. So what happened when I changed my environment? I got ideas and inspirational thoughts. Because my head was in a different head space from frustration to enjoying my time to myself and eating lovely food.

I’m not saying you have to go out by yourself to get inspiration but what I am saying change what is currently not working for you if you are stuck. So if you are not happy with what is happening in your life now, what small change can you do to make a difference to your thoughts, energy, environment, and attitude?

3 Tips to Get Out of a Head Funk of lack of motivation, low energy, and no enthusiasm or inspiration.

1) Do the opposite to what you are currently doing. If you’re inside-go outside. If you are over thinking, meditate and quieten the mind. If you have low energy, raise your energy up with something upbeat and makes you happy.

2) Chose something that lights you up. If you are not motivated, then choose something that you love to do if that is to watch a film, have a relaxing bath, and dance to music, bike somewhere. Whatever it is move that energy to raise your vibrations.

3) Are you focusing on the problem or the solution? We can concentrate on what isn’t working for us, or we can look towards a solution. How do you do that? Follow actions 1 and 2.

I’m writing this from the beach as this the opposite of me writing it up inside. I went out and had lunch as I love food and enjoy others company. I focused on the solution and journal everything out and what did I find! A solution!

Ideas flowed out of me. So watch this space- Empower your Mindset for Success Toolkit will be coming to you soon.
